Jason Clarke Lands Kathryn Bigelows Bin Laden Film Elite Cast Circling Other Roles

EXCLUSIVE: Jason Clarke may be the first actor looking for the Kathryn Bigelow-directed drama concerning the search for Osama Bin Laden for The new sony Pictures and Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures. A top-notch number of stars has been courted for that ensemble. I’m told that Clarke–who stars within the Ellison-created The Wettest County on the planet and it is playing the service station owner George Wilson within the Baz Luhrmann-directed The Truly Amazing Gatsby–will play a terrorist hunter operating from the U.S. efforts to search Bin Laden. Also being talked about for roles are Tom Sturdy (who also stars in Wettest County), Jennifer Ehle (Contagion), Guy Pearce (who starred in Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker), Idris Elba, Rooney Mara (approaching Girl using the Dragon Tattoo) and Nina Arianda (Night time In Paris). The program would be to start production early the coming year, so availability happens to be an problem for a few of the stars. Mark Boal authored the script and it is creating with Ellison and Greg Shapiro.
